Rachel Elkington, LMSW

Rachel earned her Master of Social Work from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (2026), with a concentration in Trauma-Informed Practice, and her Bachelor of Social Work from Brigham Young University–Hawaii (2022). Her background in mental health and social work spans outpatient mental health, residential treatment, and medical settings, where she has supported children, adolescents, and adults navigating a variety of emotional, behavioral, and life challenges. Her experience includes working with individuals who have experienced significant trauma, supporting vulnerable youth, and helping adults and families navigate complex circumstances.

Rachel takes a compassionate, strengths-based, and trauma-informed approach to therapy, drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), principles of Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and creative, developmentally appropriate interventions. She recognizes that every individual brings their own experiences, strengths, and needs into the therapeutic space and believes that therapy should be tailored accordingly. When working with younger clients, Rachel enjoys incorporating play-based activities and creative expression to encourage emotional exploration and connection. She strives to establish a warm, collaborative, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel comfortable expressing themselves, building trust, and working toward meaningful growth.

As a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW), Rachel works with children, adolescents, and adults experiencing a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, emotional regulation difficulties, behavioral challenges, low self-esteem, relationship concerns, family conflict, and life transitions. She has a particular interest in supporting individuals who have experienced adversity or difficult past experiences, while also enjoying the opportunity to work with clients from diverse backgrounds and across all stages of life. Rachel values helping clients strengthen coping skills, develop greater self-awareness, and feel more confident navigating life's challenges.

When she's not working, Rachel enjoys attending live music events, spending time with her cat, exploring arts and crafts, and playing video games.
