Rachael Haimindra, LMFT

Rachael Haimindra is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Connecticut and currently serves as the Director of New Hope Therapeutic Services. With over a decade of clinical experience, Rachael plays a vital and deeply influential role in shaping the direction, values, and clinical excellence of the practice. As both a seasoned clinician and respected leader, she provides high-level supervision, training, and ongoing support to graduate interns and licensed clinicians alike, helping to cultivate a learning environment grounded in collaboration, compassion, and professional growth.

Rachael brings a warm, insightful, and client-centered approach to her work with individuals, couples, and families. She is especially skilled at supporting clients through complex emotional and relational challenges, including anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder, eating disorders, grief, and marital or family issues. Her therapeutic style is rooted in evidence-based practices such as the Gottman Method, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Family Systems, and Person-Centered approaches, all tailored to the unique needs of each client.

Rachael earned her Master’s degree in Marriage, Couples, and Family Therapy from The College of New Jersey and completed her undergraduate studies in Psychology with a minor in Forensics at Loyola University Maryland. She also participated in international academic programs in Italy and Portugal, contributing to her culturally sensitive and globally informed clinical perspective. Her professional background spans hospitals, private group practices, and nonprofit organizations, offering her a deep and well-rounded understanding of the mental health landscape.

Originally from Mumbai, India and raised in Westfield, New Jersey, Rachael now lives in Connecticut with her husband and two young children. When she is not working, she enjoys adventuring with her family, trying new restaurants, reading, and prioritizing her own self-care.
