Miranda Luis, LPC
Miranda Luis is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with extensive experience supporting individuals through trauma, anxiety, PTSD/CPTSD, OCD, depression, grief, and major life transitions. She has worked with a wide range of populations, including adolescents, adults, couples, military personnel, first responders, and members of the LGBTQ+ community, including those navigating gender transition and dissociative identity disorder (DID). As a military spouse with a background in VA and judicial settings, Miranda brings a deep understanding and specialized focus on crisis and trauma work within high-stress populations.
Miranda has been a part of New Hope Therapeutic Services since 2022, where she began as a clinician and steadily advanced to her current role as assistant director. She is widely recognized as the backbone of New Hope, playing a key role in shaping clinical quality, mentoring new therapists, and overseeing day-to-day operations with dedication and warmth.
She holds dual master’s degrees: one in psychology from Southern Connecticut State University (2020), and another in clinical mental health counseling from Sacred Heart University (2022), where she was honored with the Outstanding Field Placement Award. Her therapeutic style is person-centered and laid back, while drawing on evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT). She continues to expand her skills through advanced training in trauma care and military-informed interventions.
When she’s not at work, Miranda enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and her dogs. You’ll often find her outside, reading by the ocean, traveling, or watching a motocross event. She also has a love for sports, especially soccer and football, and is always looking for new places to explore and new foods to try.
