Amie Stearns, LPCA
Amie holds an M.A. in Counseling (2018) and an M.S.C. in Clinical Counseling (2024) from Clarks Summit University of Pennsylvania and is an active member of the American Psychological Association. Her background in education and counseling spans diverse roles supporting adults, teens, children, couples, and families in public, private, and international settings. She also brings meaningful experience from her leadership and counseling work in faith-based and ministry environments.
Amie takes a holistic and client-centered approach to therapy, drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and goal-oriented methods. She adapts her style to meet each client’s unique personality, needs, and life story—whether working individually or with couples. Her practice is grounded in the belief that the therapeutic relationship itself is central to long-term, transformative growth. She strives to create a warm, collaborative, and nonjudgmental space where clients can safely explore and navigate life’s challenges.
As a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPCA), Amie supports clients navigating a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, panic attacks, grief and loss, low self-esteem, stress, and family or relational conflict. She has a special passion for working with couples to strengthen communication and emotional connection, as well as with individuals adjusting to chronic illness, physical disability, or complex health-related transitions. Her clinical interests also include postpartum mental health, parenting transitions, early childhood development, faith-based counseling, and helping clients process difficult past experiences.
When she’s not working, Amie enjoys immersing herself in historical fiction, checking off bucket-list travel destinations both near and far, and spending quality time with friends, family, and her beloved rescue dog.
