Kristen Maguire, LMSW

Kristen Maguire, LMSW is a Licensed Master Social Worker with active licensure in Connecticut, Arizona, and Vermont. A California native, Kristen earned her Bachelor of Science in Family and Human Development from Arizona State University in 2016, followed by her Master of Social Work from Arizona State University in 2018.

Kristen brings a thoughtful, flexible, and deeply collaborative approach to therapy. With a strong foundation in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), she is also trained in mindfulness- and acceptance-based interventions, trauma-focused care, and play therapy techniques. Her clinical style emphasizes meeting clients where they are, tailoring each intervention to the individual or couple’s unique needs, life circumstances, and goals to support meaningful and lasting change.

Kristen specializes in behavioral health across the lifespan, working with individuals, couples, and families navigating a wide range of emotional and relational challenges. She supports clients experiencing anxiety, depression, health-related anxiety, grief and bereavement, trauma, caregiving stress, school-related concerns, and general mental health issues. Kristen also works closely with couples navigating co-parenting, relationship transitions, communication challenges, separation, and divorce, as well as individuals coping with unexpected loss, chronic or acute health conditions, evolving family roles, and major life transitions.

Known as an active, resource-driven therapist, Kristen integrates concrete tools, personalized resources, and intentional between-session practices into her work. She believes therapy is most effective when clients feel equipped not only during sessions, but also in their day-to-day lives. Her goal is to help individuals and couples develop practical coping strategies that foster resilience, insight, and confidence in navigating life’s stressors.

Outside of her clinical work, Kristen enjoys life on her small family farm, where they care for goats, chickens, and potbellied pigs. She enjoys horseback riding, team sorting, gardening, cooking, and spending time outdoors with her family.
