Kelly Duque, LPCA

Kelly Duque, LPCA, is a licensed professional counselor associate who provides individual therapy to adolescents and adults. As a clinician at New Hope Therapeutic Services, she offers compassionate, strengths-based support grounded in evidence-based practice and an authentically warm therapeutic presence.

Kelly is known for her ability to create a deeply collaborative and trusting therapeutic space. She integrates a client-centered approach with evidence-based interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and practical skills-based strategies. Kelly excels at helping clients reframe negative thought patterns, develop self-acceptance, and identify their inherent strengths. She frequently uses positive reframing to support hope, broaden perspective, and empower clients toward meaningful change.

Her clinical work demonstrates strong continuity and intention; Kelly skillfully builds on prior sessions to help clients see their progress over time while fostering a sense of safety and consistency. She offers validation and normalization in moments of emotional difficulty, helping clients view their experiences with compassion rather than self-judgment. Kelly also breaks strategies into achievable steps, allowing clients to feel capable, supported, and actively involved in their own growth.

Kelly has experience working with clients navigating anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder, eating disorders, ADHD, adjustment-related challenges, and relationship or marital concerns. She is attentive to the whole person, including lifestyle, relationships, and values. She thoughtfully integrates these aspects when helpful. Clients describe her as empathetic, grounded, and deeply attuned to their needs.

Before becoming a clinician, Kelly earned her bachelor’s degree in Communications with a minor in Psychology from Mount Saint Mary College and spent 20 years in the advertising field. Her transition into counseling was driven by a desire for purpose, connection, and work that meaningfully supports others, qualities that shine through in her clinical practice today.

In her free time, Kelly enjoys spending time with family and friends, cooking, and exploring the outdoors.
