Emily Docktor, LMSW

Emily Docktor is a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) who has been working in the mental health field since 2016. She earned her Master’s degree in Social Work from Fordham University and has developed a wide range of clinical experience through her work in intensive outpatient care, homeless outreach, residential group homes for individuals with disabilities, substance abuse prevention programs, and supervised family visitation services. She has also facilitated nurturing parenting groups, with a particular focus on family reunification.

Emily works with young adults, individuals, couples, and families navigating complex transitions. Her clinical interests include supporting neurodivergent individuals, those in addiction recovery, couples counseling, and providing faith-based services upon request. She utilizes a strength-based approach, drawing from Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Motivational Interviewing, and tailors each session to fit the unique goals and needs of her clients.

In addition to her clinical work, Emily is a strong advocate for children living with chronic illnesses and disabilities, bringing both professional and personal insight to her work.

Outside of her professional life, Emily enjoys spending time with her husband and their two children. She loves reading, traveling, and being outdoors whenever possible.
