Caitlin O’Dea, LPCA

Caitlin O’Dea is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPCA) with a Master’s degree in Art Therapy and Counseling from Albertus Magnus College, where she received the Lisa Furman Community Outreach & Engagement Award from the Connecticut Art Therapy Association.

Caitlin has been with New Hope Therapeutic Services since its doors first opened, making her a foundational part of the practice. Beginning in early 2023, she worked extensively with children and adolescents, building strong skills in supporting young clients with complex emotional and behavioral needs. Over time, she expanded her work across the lifespan, and she now specializes in supporting adults experiencing anxiety, OCD, depression, ADHD, trauma and PTSD, and grief and loss.

Dedicated to both her clients and her professional growth, Caitlin consistently engages in advanced training and ongoing education to strengthen her clinical expertise. She brings a compassionate, holistic approach to therapy, blending evidence based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), mindfulness, and expressive arts. As a trained art therapist, she incorporates creative expression as a powerful tool for emotional regulation, self discovery, and healing.

Caitlin offers individual, family, and group therapy, tailoring her approach to each client’s unique goals and needs. She is known for creating a warm, supportive environment where clients can safely process their experiences and move toward growth and resilience.

Outside of her clinical work, Caitlin enjoys making art, spending time outdoors near the water or hiking, and relaxing with her dog. She also loves discovering new places, trying different foods, attending live music, and getting lost in a good mystery whether in a book, show, or board game
