Caitlin O’Dea, LPCA
Caitlin O'Dea is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPCA) with a Master's degree in Art Therapy and Counseling from Albertus Magnus College, where she was honored with the Lisa Furman Community Outreach & Engagement Award by the Connecticut Art Therapy Association. Her background includes years of experience supporting children and adolescents in special education settings, and she has since worked with clients across the lifespan—children, teens, adults, and older adults—in both mental health and substance use treatment settings. She also has experience supporting individuals and families coping with cancer diagnoses through work with a nonprofit organization.
Caitlin offers individual, family, and group therapy with a compassionate, holistic approach that fosters self-awareness, healing, and personal growth. She draws on a variety of evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), mindfulness, and expressive arts. As a trained art therapist, Caitlin encourages creative expression as a powerful tool for self-discovery, regulation, and emotional processing. She tailors her approach to meet each client's unique needs, offering both talk therapy and art therapy as appropriate.
Outside of her clinical work, Caitlin enjoys making art, spending time outdoors near the water or hiking, and relaxing with family, friends, and her dog. She loves discovering new places, trying different foods, attending live music events, and diving into a good mystery—whether in a book, show, or board game.
